2017 – The Year of JRPG’s

We’re well into 2017 now with the end of February looming in, and the month of January being a distant thought. And with this I must say the amount of JRPGs already released is impressive!

Let’s have a look at what was already released and coming in the next few months shall we. Just bare in mind however that this is my personal choices. First up the JRPG’s that have already been released that’s on my radar:

  • Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King remade for the Nintendo 3DS (simply amazing, be sure to check out my review here)
  • Gravity Rush 2
  • Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue (WOW what a mouthful!!!)
  • Fate EXTELLA: The Umbral Star, I personally loved this anime series
  • Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea
  • Digimon World: The Next Order (a must for fans of the original Digimon World game on the original PlayStation, check out my review here)
  • Tales of Berseria is possibly one of my favorite “Tales of” games to date, an emotional roller coaster of a ride from the beginning to the end where you can’t help but attached yourself to the characters. (check out my review)

For JRPG fans that line up so far is both the demise of your wallets/purses/bank accounts as well as the joy to your lives, and yes this includes myself. And to think we still have more to come later this year including the months of March and April which you can see below.

March 2017
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
NieR: Automata
Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 ReMix

April 2017
Persona 5
