Games of September 2017

Happy Spring everyone and with that comes the month of September. So what’s good in September?

Well from my end I have to admit that I am super excited about two titles. The first isn’t something that I’ve been a player of but I’ve had my eyes on it since the beginning and that is the Destiny franchise. Since the first title released on the PlayStation I’ve watched multiple streams and play-throughs. I’ve listened to podcasts discussing raid groups and have admired the games community for their unity. However at the time I didn’t have enough time on my hands to become apart of this myself by jumping into the game and investing the much needed time it deserves. BUT now with Destiny 2 upon us, I believe it is time for me to take up the mantle as a Guardian and join the brave and courageous Guardians of Earth…on PS4. And after playing the BETA there is no turning back. Destiny 2 releases on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on the 6th of September 2017.

The second game which is of much hype to me is a hunting title where we in fact do not hunt…yep that’s right, Monster Hunter Stories! The game releases on the 8th of September here in South Africa just two days after Destiny 2 and Nintendo and Capcom were generous enough to release a demo of the game so make sure to check out the demo on the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS now. Also check out my impressions on the demo right here. As mentioned before this is one hunting title where we do not hunt monsters but instead befriend them and battle alongside them building a relationship or bond with our monster partners in an epic RPG tale set to captivate players hearts. Monster Hunter Stories releases on the 8th of September 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS.

So Destiny 2 and Monster Hunter Stories is where my wallets planning on going to this month but there are still plenty of other titles coming out this month so lets take a quick look at them:

Knack 2 (6 Sep 2017) which releases on the same day of Destiny 2 unfortunately seems to be fun. Although the demo I played only lasted 15 minutes or so, which is no where near a true reflection of what a game entails. However if you’ve played the first Knack and enjoyed it, then I can only imagine how happy you’ll be about the sequel releasing.
