rAge Expo 2017 – South Africa’s Video Gaming & Tech Show

Last week the 6th to the 8th of October 2017 the awesome people at NAG along with many other companies hosted the annual video game and tech expo at the Coca-Cola Dome here in Johannesburg South Africa, rAge Expo 2017. The show not only hosted a ton of cosplayers, eSports mania and a HUGE lan, but also had a few exclusive titles to try out on the show floor, tons of anime/video game/geek swag and my dream ride – a Nissan GT-R. Some of the games across the floor included Assassins Creed Origins, Far Cry 5 and Middle Earth Shadow of War.

rAge is South Africa’s biggest annual video gaming, computer, technology and geek culture exhibition.

PlayStation VR was also available on the floor to try out and I got to play Gran Turismo…IN VR!!

Some of the exhibitors over the weekend included Evetech, Dark Carnival, Geekout Inc, GINX Esports TV and LEGO to name a few from the 130 exhibitors at the show. The dome itself might not be as large as the exhibitors halls at E3 or Gamescom but it would still be wise to wear comfy shoes and have equipped a bottle of water. Across the weekend the event saw 35,845 visitors and over 2000 participants in the NAG LAN area. And the best part for the NAG Lan participants is that they had at their finger tips a download speed of 5.6 gb per second thanks to MWEB (IP).

Well there’s not much more to say but rather a lot to look at…check out some more pics from the show that I snapped below and my YouTube vid showing off this years ‘really Awesome gaming expo’. Also make sure to mark your calender’s for next years show – rAge expo 2018 from the 5th to the 7th of October.
