Welcome everyone, to another week at Controller of Life. This week, as always, we’re catching up on the week that has passed. Video games that’s been played, tv series & anime watched as well as a feature on some local talent here in South Africa. I’d like to kick things off with the local talent. After all, local is lekker right. So why not support our local content creators. Last week I covered the guys over at Checkpoint Chat, my editor from SaGamer, Dawid Venter’s retro review and a lovely lady by the name of Nikita. Make sure you check out last weeks post and please head on over to support them.
This week I’d like to introduce you all to Nova (Niyaaz). His a local YouTuber and community member at SaGamer forums. However, his been a strong leader in our local Monster Hunter World whatsapp group as well, always strengthening the unity with all the hunters. He currently specializes in streaming 5v5 Vainglory and although I’m not a fan of the game myself, admittedly I can’t help but want to give it a shot. Make sure you check out his channel.
So a few weeks ago I mentioned how I’m enjoying Netflix. Well, a week later I just didn’t have the time to enjoy it any further. That all changed this week as I not only completed Lost in Space but also an anime series known as Magi: Adventure of Sinbad. I rather enjoyed both. With some good special effects in Lost in Space and of course who doesn’t love Sinbad. Throw in a twist of anime and Djinn (magical beings that grant the user incredible powers beyond man or any army) and you have entertainment at your fingertips.
Check out Lost in Space here.
Check out Magi: Adventure of Sinbad here.
And finally the meat of my past few weeks, Persona 4 Golden. A short while ago I mentioned how I’ve been investing a big portion of my time to this game. Well I’ve finally said my goodbyes to the rural town of Inaba where this game takes place and I must say it was a sad goodbye indeed. The 58 hours I spent on this game was incredibly satisfying. Deeply emotional. And oh so blissfully enjoyable. I did promise a review on the game and so it has come forth in the form of the Blast from the Past I do every second Monday on SaGamer. Please check it out and if you’re ever offered the opportunity to dive into the almost near masterpiece that is Persona 4 Golden, DO NOT HESITATE TO DO SO. Give it your mind, body and soul. For that is what this beautiful game deserves.
Well that’s it for this week, shorter than usual but perhaps sweeter? Till next week, take care.
