What’s still to come in 2019

Hey everyone, welcome back to the blog. I hope that everyone’s been having an amazing 2019 thus far. Time is on no one’s side. This is evident in the fact that we’re already halfway through August, and the year seems to just be flying by. It’s been a year filled with many surprises in video games. Admittedly not as exciting as previous years, although we still do have quite a bit to look forward too in the coming months. In my case, each month possesses something that I’m ecstatic about. So here’s my list of the games I MUST GET in the remaining months of 2019.

Although September may host the season of Spring in South Africa, it is going to be a cold month. In fact, I sense an Ice being Borne…
Monster Hunter Worlds first expansion, Iceborne releases on the 6th of September and will bring to hunters and players alike a new area, new skills, new weapons and of course new ferocious monsters, including my all-time favorite, the Tigrex. If you’re a Hunter on PS4 make sure you hit me up for a hunt or two. Monster Hunter World: Iceborne releases on the 6th of September.

October 31st is Halloween and what better way to spend it by being the worlds number one Ghost Buster! Yes, I said it. Team Luigi all the way. October 31st sees Nintendo fans taking a brave journey into the spookiest and haunted Luigis Mansion 3. Being a huge fan of Luigi and in turn Luigis Mansion on the Game Cube (with a remake on the Nintendo 3DS last year) and Luigis Mansion 2 Dark Moon on the Nintendo 3DS, this is a must for me. Also, Gooigi!!

November held only one title on my TO GET LIST originally…until last week, when EA showed off a trailer with their next hot racer, Need for Speed Heat. Honestly, its still early days and a purchase decision cannot be made on just one trailer. However, I’m waiting in anticipation for this week, when game-play will be revealed at Gamescom. The trailer did reveal that we’ll be customizing quite a bit and that it won’t only be night driving. We also got to see some really epic cars available. Either way, I’m HYPE. And with Need for Speed Underground 2 being my all-time favorite Need for Speed title, this may just be that flame reignited. Need for Speed Heat is set for release on the 4th 8th of November.

Being the very best, like no one ever was, is a dream for many trainers out there. And with a core title finally coming to the Switch in a few months, those dreams will soon become reality once more. The Pokémon Company, Gamefreak and of course Nintendo will on the 15th of November release Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. A Pokémon title with a new region, new Pokémon, new battle mechanics and so much more.

What are some of the games you’re waiting for and planning to buy this year? I’ve made a quick list of some of the more popular franchises, including the titles above.
