Another year, another decade has passed. 2019 has been one heck of a year for me personally. And I can’t say that it was all in good ways. Admittedly I’d say about 70% of it has only been up hills. But of course, with every uphill we face, the strength we acquire grants us the opportunity to climb the next hill with even more understanding and patience. I know this may sound corny, but I’m grateful for the tests from this year as I believe it’s made me stronger.
So, what about the good. Well, it’s been an amazing year in this regard. Another rAge expo and Comic-Con under the belt. Along with the fact that I got to meet some close friends that traveled over 1000 km to make it for Comic-Con. In addition, if you know me, you’ll know that my three favorite game franchises are Pokémon, Monster Hunter, and Fire Emblem. So, imagine my joy during this year, having all three release something new within their series. For Monster Hunter it was Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, an expansion on top of what was already an amazing base game within Monster Hunter: World.
Then, of course, there was a new addition to the Pokémon main series, Pokémon Sword and Shield. A new region, new Pokémon and of course raid battles with three other friends. Although the concept may remain the same, it was a rather welcoming new concept. And finally, my game of the year, Fire Emblem Three Houses. Another gripping story in the series about love, loyalty, treachery, and heartache. Combined with the tactical grid-based battles everyone has come to love from the series, this installment was most welcomed on the Switch.
I’d like to take the opportunity to thank everyone for all the support I constantly receive across all of my platforms. Be it YouTube, Twitch, Instagram, Facebook, and even this blog. I know this year did not go accordingly as I had planned with my uploads being rather scarce, but no matter how little I uploaded, it was always met with a good response. So, thank you to everyone. I hope that 2020 will allow me to upload even more blog posts, upload more Youtube videos and stream a ton more on Twitch for everyone.
And on that note, I’d like to say Goodbye 2019 and welcome 2020.
